“Change yourself and you have done your part in changing the world”
–Paramahansa Yoganada

We live in a world of speed. Since the computerisation, automation and the information high technology are introduced to our modern living a few decades ago, everything has been accelerating. The enormous diversity and choices in every aspect of our life have exceeded beyond all previous erasin our human evolution. At the face of such overwhelming complexity, diversity and speeding, our human living can easily become confusing and thus, spins us off balance.

Being mesmerised with the riches of physical and material phenomenon around us, we have been conditioned by the human world to mistaken the pursuit of the physical comfort, pleasure and accumulation as what life is all about. We seek EXTERNALLY for happiness, love, support, validation and proof of our identity and self-worth. Such external pursuit is a never-ending journey to the day we die much like a “rat race”. The more we have it, the more we have to have it because “the bigger, the better”. However, externally-defined formulas make us disempowered no matter how much we achieve because ultimately, we have no says about our self-worth and authority.

The irony is that with more and bigger things we have owned over the last few decades in accelerating speeds, we are nevertheless much more miserable. The statistics show that in comparison to the 1950’s, our rate of happiness have reduced from 2/3 of our population then, down to 1/3now! Some other statistics also show that the happiest countries in the world are mostly from the under-developed countries where they do not own a lot materially, but do have a strong sense of belonging, human bonding, caring and sharing as a community. We have long ignored the very “being” and the “essence “ of who we truly are. Given the statistics, perhaps, it’s time to slow down and have a grand review of what part of our human formulas have gone so wrong and to reconstruct our lives with simple riches innate in us?

Some American Indian visionary once said:“everything we cherished in our modern world the most including the house, car, money and credit card are dead. None of them contains the living essence of the Great Spirit!” Because we cherish things that are dead and man-made, we wonder why our life is so upside down, back to front.

At the face of the chaos, division and huge inequality which all stem from our lack of Self- understanding ( of our Higher Self, our Soul Self), this website is for promoting Self-knowledge, self-empowerment and personal spiritual growth. It aims to bring back in each of us the unity, love, peace, beauty bounty and harmony innate in us that our global village needs desperately as a counter-balance.

Self-understanding enables us to recognise within us our innate precious essences without justification or proofs or external approvals. It helps us to recognise the same jewels in others at the same time since it takes one to know one. With Self- cultivation, Self-transformation and Self-development, it’s only natural to extend such to all other aspects of our life including our relationship with one another; with our immediate natural, social environments and global communities on all level. After all, many of us have chosen to come here to be a progressing example to others as Way Showers and Light Workers.

This website is philosophical, metaphysical and informational in nature with practical tools to use. It is intended for our individual highest good with the aim of altruism for the highest good of all. Through the arts, the philosophy of life, the workshops, the promotion of like-minded, like-spirited Self-growth community, the author of this website wishes to connect her inner light and love with you all around the globe. She sincerely hopes to intrigue in you the journey inward back to your Soul Self to access the whole domain of the richest divine jewels within you.

The Indian yogi and metaphysical teacher Yogananda once said, “People talk about doing the big things, leaving a legacy, and make a difference in the world. But every extraordinary change comes from within you”. The good news is we don’t need to be a perfect example of what we share or guide, we simply have to be an earnest learner like the remaining. We teach what we have to learn and we learn the best by “trial and error” what we have to teach. Sharing makes it fun and we learn faster as such together as a team.

If you have a beautiful story that resonates with any aspects of Sacred Jewel Within, please feel free to post it for sharing with many others that are on the same boat of this great humanity. We are often each other’s channel of blessings without realising. Let’s make the best conscious use of such phenomenon! We love to hear from you.
