The author of Sacred Jewel Within website and book is Li-Ing (pronounced as “ Lee Ing” ) Wu. “Li-Ing” means “beautiful shining jade” in the author’s native language which is Taiwanese.

From a young age, the author’s mother remarked that she was a “ different” kind of child: forgetful, naively trusting, kind-hearted, fiercely stubborn as needed with “ a mindset of her own”.
